2nd Japan-Canada Academic Consortium Student Forum
February 21 – 27, 2011
The second annual JACAC Student Forum was hosted by the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada from February 21-27, 2011. The theme of this year’s forum was International Trade and Environmental Sustainability, with sub-themes of Climate Change, Biodiversity, and Food Security.
Students that attended this forum participated in lectures given by both academic and industry professionals, as well as group discussions and consultations with graduate students.
A field trip to Banff National Park gave students an opportunity to experience the famous Rocky Mountains and interact culturally.
The closing ceremony was held at the University of Alberta’s Calgary Centre in Calgary, Alberta. Students presented group projects based on their own ideas and knowledge gained throughout the course of the Forum.
